ICE is now holding a record sixty-five thousand immigrants after a new round of raids took place across several states this week. The number climbed quickly over the last 24 hours as officers carried out more operations in large cities and smaller towns.

Officials described the raids as part of a broader push to find people who crossed the border recently or missed earlier court dates. Community groups reported a wave of early-morning pickups, and some schools and workplaces noticed families staying home because they feared being caught on the street.
